Teach-A-Skill : The Big Idea

The big idea behind Teach-A-Skill is about leadership and communication.  I want the students to experience the responsibility of organising and teaching a skill they have already mastered, to a smaller group.  There are logistics to consider, time constraints, good teaching methods and clear communication skills.  These areas will all be crucial in upcoming events later in the year, but also throughout life in general.

Kahurangi, Haepapa and Tautoko GATE students will be working on this initiative over the remainder of the term. Students will know when their presentation days are and this will be communicated with parents/caregivers as well.

You may have time as a family to allow your child to teach you their skill - this would be great practice!
