Getting Ready for the Epro8 Challenge

This year we have four teams competing in the Epro8 Challenge at Monrad Intermediate on March 22nd/23rd.  Teams have begun preparing for this by exploring a range of electronics equipment and investigating construction using simple machines - pulleys, gears and sprockets.  A huge part of succeeding in this competition is a teams ability to communicate and work together.  All the students have selected their own goals to help them develop their collaborative skills a little further.

Goal Setting  - some examples from the Navigator Centre

Noah:

My goal is to:

  • Be better at working in a group
  • Not take control and accept new ideas from others.

Indiana:

My goal is to:
  • Work with the other people that I don't usually work with.
  • Try to understand what the people in my group are talking about.
  • Seek help from people that have been in Epro8 before.

Forbes:

My goal is to:
  • Work together well and show good teamwork.
  • Make sure we are collaborating, communicating and cooperating
  • Show good sportsmanship when competing.
