Epro8 Challenge Semi Finals
What a terrific week!
The results achieved by all of our competing Epro8 Challenge teams this week has been fantastic. Schools from Palmerston North, Dannevirke and Whanganui, designed solutions to a range of really challenging problems. The students had to draw on prior knowledge, strategy, and above all, teamwork to create their structures and machines.It must be acknowledged how very well the students worked under the pressure of the competition clock. To remain focused and to show resilience when ideas don't pan out, is a huge thing and these students showed very sophisticated levels of perseverance. Well done teams!
The final results are as follows:
The Whakarongo Figure-it-Outers placed 6th equal
The Whakarongo Slingshots placed 5th
And...
The Whakarongo Technology Terrors placed an amazing 1st - winning their division and taking home the trophy which will be displayed in the school foyer.
The Slingshots and the Technology Terrors will move forward to the Manawatu-Whanganui Regional Final in Week 3 of this term. Congratulations on a very fine effort everyone!
