TEACH -A-SKILL
Several weeks work culminated this week in our Teach-a-Skill presentations. We had a wonderful range of 'experts' teaching a variety of skills. We were looking at our delivery techniques, the resulting attempts of our 'pupils' and the overall breakdown of the teaching process. Some very fine tutorials were produced with all the students taking part enthusiastically. Five more tutorials remain for next week.
Here is a range of pictures covering many of the tutorials:
Ari teaching Riley how to score a goal in soccer.
Riley taking the group through a Karate Kata.
Rachel showing us how to identify a stroke victim.
Thomas gave clear instructions on creating a great paper plane.
The final products of Kaija's balloon animal tutorial.
Greta supervising Michaela's control of the hockey ball.
Aidan instructing the boys on developing a simple Minecraft House.
Hannah showing her group how to troubleshoot while making loom band bracelets.
Ben explaining the necessary resources for creating a Minecraft rollercoaster.
Amelia guiding Hannah as she imitates her card trick.
Prya teaching the girls to play 'Jolly Old St Nicolas'.
Josiah teaching his group to count to 10 in Mandarin.
Maddi stretching (!) with her group before demonstrating how to do a backward walkover down a wall ! Fantastically, almost her entire group were successful in learning to do this!
So, you can see from the blurred lines in the shots just how actively everyone was learning! What a great variety of skills we have had demonstrated this week. What a talented bunch of students!
