The Semi Finals...
The Whakarongo Brainwaves - Sophie Collis, Trent Shailer, Ryan Morgan and Callum Whitley attended the Epro8 Year 7 / 8 SemiFinal at Roslyn School on April 13. They battled against other teams to complete a range of challenges and finished the competition 6th equal. Well done Team!
The Whakarongo Einsteins attended the Epro8 Year 5 / 6 Semi Final at Roslyn school on April 14. The team consisted of Axis Simon, Caleb Woisin, Carter Fuldseth and Zac Bradford. They attempted the same challenges as the year 7 / 8 team with equally good results finally coming in 5th equal. They were forced into a four-way tie breaker and emerged victorious, progressing through to the Finals in the first week of May.
Epro8 Manawatu-Whanganui Year 5 /6 Final
The original Einsteins team of Axis Simon, Kaija Fouhy, Zac Bradford and Caleb Woisin returned to the Epro8 Challenge last week to compete in the Regional Final at Palmerston North
Intermediate School. Their teamwork and communication skills were tested as they worked to solve a range of engineering problems, pitting themselves against eleven other local teams. They finished an admirable 5th place overall. A Fantastic Effort!
