Values in Action
Today's Values in Action session saw us exploring the different values available to us and identifying them in ourselves and in other Whakaaro tribe members. We then followed this up with a variation of the drama game 'emotional hitch hiker', students took on one of the values and embodied it in their car ride conversation. Lots of fun!

Otago Math's Session 4
Our mathematicians challenged themselves this morning as they undertook the fourth session in the Otago Maths Problem Solving Challenge. These sessions are such great practice as they are taken in strict exam conditions. Before each session we revisit test protocol and talk through focus, test strategy and perseverance.
Values in Action
Students from the Navigator Centre and Kahurangi began their Values in Action journey today. We had some great discussions around anxiety, the kinds of things that worry us and the things that happen to our bodies when we feel worried.
Drama allowed us to tell stories and depict some of the values we will be exploring over the coming weeks. These values or strengths can enable us to make clear choices in pressure situations that help us remain in control of our responses and feel more confident about finding solutions and moving forward.
